Oderzo

Oderzo, only 10 km from Chiarano, is a town with paleo-venetian origins and is the second most important Venetian city for ancient Roman artifacts. The city’s name, derived from the Latin Opitergium meaning “Market Square”, reflects its importance. Among the medieval and Renaissance architecture, this ancient city boasts one of the oldest archaeological museums in Italy, founded in 1876. Oderzo is a Pre-Roman, Roman, and Late Antiquity open air museum.
